Are you a UK tax payer?

If you are, then you may well be able to increase the value of your gift to FRRME with Gift Aid.

Gift Aid increases the value of donations to UK charities by allowing them to reclaim basic rate tax on your gift.

Are you eligible?

You must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax equal to the tax that the charity reclaims on your donations in the tax year (currently £2.50 for each £10 you give) i.e. tax is paid at basic rate.

If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief on your Self-Assessment tax return.

You can cancel your declaration at any time by notifying us – if, for example, your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and capital gains equal to the tax that the charity reclaims. Your declaration will then not apply to donations you make on or after the date you specify for cancellation.

If you require any further information or are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, please contact the FRRME office or you can find out more at direct.gov.uk.
