We are looking for an Iraq Programme Manager to identify opportunities for new programmes and initiatives which meet the charity’s objectives, working with approved partners to develop such work. You will also administer the existing programmes and activities of the charity in Iraq.

The role is based in Erbil, with frequent travel to the Nineveh Plain and occasional trips to Baghdad. The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years programme management experience with an NGO (preferably in Iraq and / or Kurdistan)
  • A working knowledge of Arabic (written and spoken), as well as excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to gain trust and work with culturally diverse groups
  • Competence in managing budgets for expenditure, monitoring of compliance and management of financial controls
  • Media awareness – a key part of the role will be providing content for use in external comm’s and marketing (photos, videos, case study interviews)
  • A high level of efficiency and resilience with the ability to work in a challenging environment
  • A commitment to the Christian objectives of the charity

Hours: Full time (including unsociable hours, e.g. weekend work)

Remuneration: $32,000 – $44,000 (or Sterling equivalent)
